What To Expect Mechanical

“Grad courses are a lot more advanced so you get to get really specific into what you want to talk about. Some of these professors are very knowledgeable in what they do, and you don’t really scratch the surface of that in an undergrad class. I’ve had professors that I’ve done research with and really been able to dive into what interests me.”–Emily Lake ’23/G’24

What Will You Study?

To satisfy requirements for an advanced degree in mechanical engineering, you will take three core courses in Engineering Management or Project Management, Quality Engineering, Design of Experiments, System Integration, and Mechanical Engineering. At the completion of these 12 credits, you will then choose a faculty advisor and course of study for the remainder of your education. Your choices include an all-course option; a project option, which includes advanced coursework and a final presented project; and a thesis option, that involves advanced coursework and a thesis with a presentation.
