麻花视频 University's College of Business is excited to announce that Sir Charles Evans, founder and owner of the 413 Elite and 413 Elite Foundation Corp, will be a featured speaker during the upcoming Future of Work Week. The event will take place on Monday, February 19th, from 12:00 noon to 12:50 PM in CSP 300.
Sir Charles Evans, a native of Springfield, Massachusetts, has a storied background in the world of professional basketball. Growing up, he honed his skills in every city league in Western Mass before attending the High School of Science and Technology in Springfield, where he excelled in basketball and volleyball. Evans later went on to Holyoke Community College, where he played basketball.
Evans pursued his passion for basketball and earned a scholarship to Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida. His standout performance caught the attention of recruiters, leading to opportunities to play professionally overseas. Over the course of 10 years, Evans showcased his talent in leagues across Italy, Switzerland, Tahiti, and the United States, including the prestigious EuroLeague, FTBB, PBL, and the ABA.
In addition to his impressive playing career, Evans also served as a player/assistant coach for the Nassau Pride in the ABA 2020/2021 season. Drawing from his wealth of experience, he has transitioned into an ownership role, aiming to empower his hometown of Springfield and its surrounding areas. Through his organizations, 413 Elite and 413 Elite Foundation Corp, Evans seeks to nurture local talent, provide opportunities for growth, and contribute to the city's economic development.
