Doctor of Pharmacy Tuition

An Education You Can Afford

Tuition for the Doctor of Pharmacy program (on campus and distance pathway) is $45,500 for the 2024-2025 academic year.

The total fee amount (including the University comprehensive fee, health service fee, pharmacy student activity fee, and pharmacy technology fee) for 2024-2025 is $2,860.

Tuition and fees are based on 2024-2025 rates and does not factor potential annual tuition and fee increases.

Enrollment Deposit

Students who are accepted into the Doctor of Pharmacy program are required to submit a deposit of $300.00 within fourteen days of notification of acceptance. Students are also required to submit a second deposit of $300.00 by May 1. Students accepted after mid April will have two weeks to submit both enrollment deposits of $600 total. Students accepted after June 1st will have one week to submit both enrollment deposits. All deposits will be credited to your student account and are non-refundable. Students who fail to submit these deposits in a timely manner will forfeit their seat within the Doctor of Pharmacy program.

Additional Expenses

Distance learning pathway (DLP-4 year pathway) students are expected on campus during the following times: 

  • Immersive Session I: Orientation–Monday–Friday the week before classes begin.
    • White Coat Ceremony—Thursday of Orientation week 
  • Immersive session II: one week in May following the spring PY1 semester
  • Immersive Session III: one week in January following the fall PY2 semester
  • Immersive Session IV: one week in May following the spring PY2 semester
  • Immersive Session V: one week in May following the spring PY3 semester

Distance Pathway – Extended (DLPx-6 year pathway) students will be expected on campus at the following times:

  • Immersive Session I: Orientation–Monday-Friday the week before classes begin.
    • White Coat Ceremony—Thursday of Orientation week
  • Immersive session II: 1 week in May following spring PY1a
  • Immersive Session III: 1 week in May following spring PY1b
  • Immersive Session IV: 1 week in January following fall PY2a
  • Immersive Session V: 1 week in May following spring PY2
  • Immersive Session VI: 1 week in May following spring PY3b

On-campus housing with meal plan included will be available during these immersive sessions at a weekly rate of $495 for food and housing (2024-25 rates). A list of economical hotels in the area are available for students who might prefer off-campus housing. All transportation costs and meal costs will be incurred by the student.

APPE clinical rotations in the distance learning pathway will follow the same schedule and requirements as the on-campus pathway (six 6-week rotations). Students are encouraged to complete APPE rotations with WNE faculty members, but are not required to do so unless part of a probationary academic plan.

On-campus housing will be made available for students completing APPEs in the Springfield area for an additional cost per 6-week session. All transportation costs and meal costs will be incurred by the student. 

Deposited DLP and DLPx students should apply for temporary housing for their on-campus housing during immersion weeks through the Connect2U portal. All PharmD students should reach out to Residence Life at 413-782-1317 or residencelife@wne.edu for additional information regarding on-campus housing.

For the majority of courses in the PharmD curriculum, books and additional study materials are available through WNE library services or provided by the instructor at no cost to the student.

The friendly staff members at the Enrollment Services are here to assist students seeking guidance about the financial aid process, billing, and more. Enrollment Services combines the traditional offices of financial aid, registrar, and student accounts in one convenient location. You'll find the office in the Lower Level of D'Amour Library.
