The 麻花视频 University XR Lab provides students and faculty with hands-on access to cutting-edge virtual, augmented, and mixed reality technologies. Housed in D’Amour Library, this state-of-the-art facility serves as a hub for developing immersive learning experiences, building XR applications, and exploring the latest in virtual content creation and training tools.
The XR Lab offers participants the chance to build their own virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) applications using industry-standard tools like Unity Engine and Omniverse. With access to advanced hardware such as Meta Quest headsets, HoloLens AR devices, and haptic technology, students can engage in a variety of XR activities, from soft-skills training to complex simulations.
The XR Lab actively seeks partnerships with businesses in fields such as technology, healthcare, and manufacturing. By collaborating with local industries, the lab will help integrate XR solutions into business practices, providing WNE students and faculty the opportunity to apply their learning in real-world contexts. The lab's technology partner, Link To VR, specializes in system integration and consulting for VR/AR platforms, further supporting WNE’s efforts to leverage this technology for educational and business applications.
