Research And Development Advancements

The Center, established with funds from the State Farm Insurance company, provides faculty researchers with access to a wide variety of technologies to investigate areas such as human performance and decision making, physical and cognitive ergonomics, advanced training and assessment, assistive technologies, naturalistic field studies, and translational research (R&D with industry partners). The primary mission of ATRANS is to facilitate collaboration across disciplines and provide a mechanism for researchers at Â黨ÊÓƵ University to work together to develop innovative training and assessment systems for use in industry.

Participants have access to advanced mobile driving and flight simulator systems, a brand new mobile eye tracking system and analysis software, equipment for field video-based data collection, and motion-capture equipment for human motion studies.

Current and Ongoing Research

A flight training program has been developed for novice pilots. VFR student pilots are needed in this research, and participation will help to assess the training program. Compensation is available for participation. Interested? .
