Employment

With the skills, professional confidence, and contacts gained from externships, clinics, legal positions, and classrooms, our students graduate prepared to practice law.

Our 8,500+ alumni live and practice in 49 states, and in United States territories, Europe, Asia, and Canada. Some of our graduates are partners in major private firms or work in public agencies. Many have begun their career by doing state or federal judicial clerkships. Others are employed in solo or small firm practice. Over one hundred forty of our alumni have become members of the judiciary, while still others represent the interests of major corporations, law enforcement agencies, and armed services personnel.

The employment statistics reflect employment status ten months after graduation and include full-time, part-time, short and long-term, legal and non-legal positions.

Employment Statistics

*Information on employment outcomes for the Class of 2020 may not reflect a particular law school’s typical results in this area. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, bar admission exams were canceled or delayed in many jurisdictions, thus making it more challenging for graduates to secure employment by the annual Graduate Employment Status Date of March 15. Please reference the 3 years of employment outcome data posted on the ABA Required Disclosures webpage of each ABA-Approved Law School or at
