MSPS Application Pathways

You've Got Options

There are a variety of different pathways available for different applicants when it comes to applying for the Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (MSPS) program. While the application process is the same for all applicants, the timing and types of applications may differ.

Pathways

Current WNE Students

Current WNE undergraduate students can apply when they near completion of their bachelor’s degree, or as part of a dual degree program.

Apply as a Current WNE Student

Dual Degree–WNE PharmD Students

Students enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy program are eligible to apply for admission to the Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences degree program during their first year in the PharmD program (PY1), after December 1. Students enrolling through this pathway can potentially earn the graduate degree in as little as one additional year after earning their PharmD degree.

Apply for a Dual Degree Program

Dual Degree–WNE Neuroscience Majors

Students who are enrolled in the Neuroscience program can apply to the MSPS program during their sophomore year for entry into the program during their junior year. Students enrolling through this pathway can potentially earn their graduate degree in as little as one additional year after earning the BS in Neuroscience degree.

Dual Degree–WNE Biomedical Engineering Majors

Students who are enrolled in the Biomedical Engineering program can apply to the MSPS program during their sophomore year for entry into the program during their junior year. Students enrolling through this pathway can potentially earn their graduate degree in as little as one additional year after earning the BS in Biomedical Engineering degree.

Apply for a Dual Degree Program

Dual Degree–WNE Health Sciences, Biology, or Chemistry Majors

Students in good standing in the Health Sciences, Biology, or Chemistry majors are eligible to apply for admission to the Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences degree program during their junior year after December 1. Students enrolling through this pathway can potentially earn the graduate degree in as little as one additional year after earning their BS degree.

Apply for a Dual Degree Program

Non-WNE Applicants

Students who have completed a Bachelor's degree, or are about to complete a Bachelor's degree at another institution (including those schools with articulation agreements with the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences) are eligible to apply for admission to the Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences degree program.
